Meet Ms. Carabantes
I am so excited to be one of the School Counselors at Brevard Elementary School. I grew up in Winston-Salem, NC and I moved to the mountains to attend Western Carolina University. Prior to becoming a School Counselor, I worked as a First and Second grade teacher.
About SEL
I teach Social and Emotional Learning. In Classroom Counseling Lessons, we learn about:

What is my role as School Counselor?
My job is to support students to feel connected, cared for, and capable of reaching their full potential.
I teach classroom counseling lessons on social and emotional topics.
I counsel students individually and in small groups to support their growth.
I support students during times of transition or heightened stress.
Part of my role is to work in collaboration to connect students to resources.
