April 18 - last Battle of the Books competition @ Transylvania Co. library
April 24 - midterms home & 12:00 dismissal
April 26 - book order due (last one for this year...)
May 8 - Freedom Walk (50 years of integration in Transylvania County Schools) to BHS
May 27 - Awards Assembly @ 1:30
May 28 - Last day of school - 1:00 dismissal

* I don't see a due date for the yearbooks. 
They are, however, $15.00 and checks can be made out to Brevard Elementary School.

Reading:  We will continue with our independent AR reading goals.  Goals have been increased by a few points.  I will send home specific goals in a week or so.  Please continue to make time for nightly reading.  This is the most important homework!

Measurement / Geometry / Angles
- conversion of measurements (km, m, cm, kg, g, lb, oz, l, ml, hour, min, second)
- measuring area and perimeter
- drawing and identifying points, lines, segments, rays, angles (right,acute,obtuse)
     perpendicular and parallel lines
 - classifying and sorting 2-D figures / identifying right triangles
 - identifying and drawing lines of symmetry
Science: 
Forces and Motion

Social Studies: 
- North Carolina's geography and the enviornment
- Regional diversity
- NC's economy
- Technology in NC
