Welcome To Art

Brevard Elementary Art Room is a high tech learning center.  The art room has an electric kiln for pottery, access to the Internet, 12 student work tables, 2 sinks.  The lessons are multi-dimensional incorporating hands on demonstrations illuminated by a document camera, power point slide shows of artists work and step-by-step project directions.

Parent/art room communication is conducted through this online newsletter.  Please feel free to contact me at any time with suggestions or questions or concerns.

Students participate in art once a week for 50 minutes.  Each student takes part in a variety of art forms while learning about artists, media, history and culture. 

Student art work is displayed in the BES Gallery in the main hall of the school.  Several outside exhibits  recognize the talent at our school. Those exhibits include but are not limited to a one month exhibit at the Morris Education Center, one month county-wide exhibit at the TC Arts Council in April, and regular monthly exhibits at the State Educators Credit Union on the old Asheville Highway across from Lowe's.
